First Post

This is the first actual post I have made to this site after having it deployed for nearly a year. I have had the example posts up for that time.
Due to the COVID-19 situation we are in now, I have had much more time in front of my computer and after getting my Windows Subsystem for Linux working again I figured I better learn how to use git which lead me back here.

This site is hosted using GitLab Pages and Hugo. This gives me a very fast, lightweight website hosted currently for free using Netlify.

To do this I followed this guide.

I am aware that as it stands my site looks like a cheap clone of his, but given we are using the same theme and I have just kinda figured out how this all works, I am just happy I got this far.
